Ever thought you were going to grow old with someone and then boom, they’re gone? The inner fuckwit is exposed, the midlife crisis hits, the grass was greener, or the other pussy seemed sweeter.
Sucks doesn’t it? Rips your entire being open. You cry so many tears that you’re too dehydrated to piss for a week. Money, happiness, security, family – all gone, just like that. What the hell just happened?
I feel like I’ve spent half my life talking to divorced women. They would tell me their stories while I cut their hair, and then later they would share their experiences on my blog. One day I became a divorced woman myself, and the one thing we all had in common? After the biggest storm in our lives came the sweetest sunshine.
Happily Ever… Fuck That is a guide that will help you through your significant separation, the lowest of the lows and the eventual highs.
Paige Turner is a fictional story woven throughout the book. I used fiction to tell a true story, inspired by the hundreds of stories that have been shared with me. Paige’s voice came through me – she is everything we don’t talk about. Stories that often can’t be told to protect children, which unfortunately also protects the cockheads who cause us all that pain.
Separated women are often crucified and burnt, sadly something that isn’t new to women. But shock, horror motherfuckers – we rise and become the flames of that very fire. Sometimes you just have to rebuild yourself from the ground up to find out who you really are – and that is where the magic happens.
You are going to be okay.
I loved this book! I have lent it to 2 people so far after I read it... Mind you not all of it related to me... but it gave me a sense of hope. Thank you Con XoXo
This is a fantastic book for anyone surviving a messed up break up, or trying to find themselves as a single woman.
Great read! Exactly what I needed at this point in my life. Finished it feeling that little bit more powerful xx
I could relate to most of the senarios in the book. I know we as women are strong, resilient but **** we don’t deserve to put up with that sort of ****.
I bought this book for my recently separated best friend but confess I read it first. Inspiring and intimate sharings from Constance Hall. Stellar advice and insightful wisdoms. Thank you Queen Constance ***
